You love that smile of his and especially the way he grins when he thinks he’s funny. The way you feel safe in his arms and how being with him just feels like home. How he loves the people around him and is always looking out for your best. You can’t wait to see his face when he sees you for the first time on your wedding day and you’re definitely planning on dancing the night away surrounded by those you love most. The details are important and you can’t wait to see your vision come to fruition, but really, you just can’t wait to marry the love of your life and start the greatest adventure yet... together.
While cute shoes and bouquets in the perfect shade of blush are certainly important in their own way, I believe it’s the moments of your wedding day you’ll hold most dear. Wrapped up in joy-filled faces, loving embraces, and heartfelt toasts to your forever.
After all the candles are blown out and the dance floor is swept clean, I believe more than anything, it’s the moments you’ll cherish.
And that is my very favorite aspect of a wedding day to capture...the sweet fleeting moments with loved ones, the emotion that just can’t be held back, and a love that will surely go the distance.
I’m a laid back mom, rarely the “better half” to my husband, and a beach loving photographer. I grew up in North Jersey and moved to Connecticut for college where I studied psychology. Unrelated to my major, I worked for 10+ years in the finance industry and after 15 years of living in and loving Fairfield County — decided to pack up our 3 kids, dog and 2 cats, sell our Southport home, and head down the shore! We now spend our days on the Barnegat Bay enjoying the simple pleasures that most people only get to enjoy for a week or two while on vacation.
My husband and I met while I was in college. We were both working part time at a small pottery shop that is now owned by one of our best friends (and the best man at our wedding). Dave was a horrible employee (he was a full time accountant, this was a side job - to meet girls...). Eventually, I fired him. While he still thinks his time at Hands on Pottery was a success, I still give him a hard time about it.
